التنوع الجمالي في الإسفنج من أثر جمال وقدرة الخلاق.
وفيه إعجاز علمي وإبداع ..
الزينة عامة مقصودة. وليست شيئا عشوائيا كما يظن من لا يعلمون ولا يتأدبون، بل هي تجليات ونعمة لها وظائف عظيمة .. منها استجلاب الشكر والترويح المباح، وجذب الانتباه لغرض شريف أو للافتراس! أو لتبادل المنافع الحلال كإغراء الحشرة والطائر لنقل حبوب اللقاح ومكافأته بمشروب مغذ لذيذ من الرحيق.. ومثل هذا تحت الماء ..
التنوع هنا فوق روعته يعكس تعدد المهام مما يعاكس فكرة الصدفة الخرافية. ووجوده كما هو عبر السنين هام لبقاء ووجود الأصناف الأشد تعقيدا، فهل قرر ألا يتطور لصالحها وضحى. أو قرر صانع النظام أن يبقيه أم خطط لبقائه. اختر لنفسك.
هذا مخلوق موجود رغم أنف الملاحدة جميل كريش الطاووس وصامد رغم رقته، ومصمم ألا يتحول إلى رئيس دولة.. وتبين أنه مهم رغم أنه ليس له صوت عال ولا دعاية.. ضروري للنظم البيئية البحرية التي جعلناها تموت في البحار الأقرب بسبب تعميم الأمركة الصناعية التي تجرف الموارد وتلوث المنابع وو... بدون ضوابط إلا الرأسمالية . هذه الضحية التي مات منها الكثير (توفر المأوى والطعام لعدد كبير من الكائنات البحرية، وتعيد تدوير العناصر الغذائية عن طريق تصفية آلاف اللترات من مياه البحر يومياً، كما أنها تستضيف الميكروبات التي قد تكون مفتاحاً لإنتاج بعض أكثر الأدوية التى نحن في حاجة إليها.)
